POP-UPS & COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

We offer several community partnerships bringing a variety of services to our office. For more information about any of our services, contact Director of Programs & Outreach Michael Cleggs-Arnott at michael@outfrontkzoo.org.

  • Our Career Consultants provide help with resumes, CVs, cover letters, and applications to schools, scholarships, and jobs. They are available to community members in all fields and career stages, including students.

    Drop-In, In-Person services are available at OutFront Kalamazoo on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.

    Virtual Appointments are available on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sign-up for virtual appointments at https://forms.gle/icGdYc3Zgp9Pbue38.

  • Provided in partnership with Integrated Services of Kalamazoo, our Community Health Workers are at OutFront Kalamazoo every Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. to assist with things such as food insecurity, applying for health insurance, getting a government phone, finding clothing, and more.

    They provide information and referrals to local organizations and can assist you in getting connected with things such as:

    • Health Insurance

    • Employment Support

    • Housing Support

    • Child & Family Needs

    • Mental Health Resources

    • Applying for Benefits

    • Clothing

    • Food

    • General Advocacy

    • Health Care

    • Health/Wellness

    • And Much More!

  • In partnership with Cares Sexual Wellness Services, OutFront Kalamazoo hosts free HIV/STI testing on the third Tuesday of each month from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. No insurance or appointment is necessary.

  • This is a grief group for members of the LGBTQIA+ community ages 18+ impacted by physical death. This group meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at OutFront Kalamazoo.

  • Our Mental Health Navigator is ready to help you navigate the healthcare system and overcome barriers to accessing mental health services. Our Mental Health Navigator is prepared to:

    • Provide a listening ear

    • Identify needs

    • Brainstorm short- and long-term goals

    • Offer connections to services and resources

    These services are offered on a walk-in basis at OutFront Kalamazoo every Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m..

  • Our quarterly OutCloset events offer clothing, shoes, and accessories at low-to-no cost to you, helping to increase access to gender-affirming clothing options.

    OutCloset events in 2025 will take place from noon to 5:00 p.m. on:

    • 2/28 & 3/1

    • 4/25 & 4/26 (CANCELLED)

    • 8/1 & 8/2

    • 10/3 & 10/4

DROP-IN CENTER

The following services are offered on a drop-in basis any time that our lobby is open to the public.

Our drop-in center is typically open Mondays-Thursdays 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Gender Affirming Products

We are proud to offer a range of gender affirming products, personal hygiene products, and menstrual products at no cost to you. All items are FREE to residents of Kalamazoo county.

LGBTQIA+ Library

The Thomas H. Seiler LGBTQIA+ Resource Library collects, preserves, and provides free access to materials that promote knowledge and understanding of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and 2-Spirit community.

David Bohnett Cyber Center

Four computer stations are available during office hours for individuals to use to access the internet— free of charge— to check their e-mail, do research, conduct job searches, work on their resume, complete homework and more.

OUTPROUD SAFE

OutProud Safe is a multifaceted initiative of OutFront Kalamazoo addressing homelessness witihin our local LGBTQIA+ community. It was started from a vision for addressing the housing crisis against LGBTQIA+ youth in this community when a young person was found sleeping outside our office over a decade ago in search of affirmation and acceptance. The OutProud Safe Program is committed to the safety, wellness, and long-term stability of Kalamazoo County’s LGBTQIA+ community, with a special emphasis on youth in need. Housing Navigation

Our housing navigation services are available to all those within Kalamazoo County facing homelessness.

Legacy House

Legacy House is a six-bed transitional housing facility serving queer-identifying youth ages 18-24 who are actively experiencing homelessness.

Host Homes

Our Host Homes program provides safe, affirming, temporary housing for LGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-18.
