Safety & Security
The safety and security of all Kalamazoo Pride attendees are of the utmost priority. To that end, the following, the following policies will be enforced:
NEW THIS YEAR: Only clear bags will be permitted within the festival site. Exceptions will be made for small clutch purses, diaper bags, and medically necessary items. All bags are subject to search.
No pets will be permitted within the festival site. Service animals remain welcome.
No smoking or vaping will be permitted within the festival site for the duration of the event.
No guns or other weapons will be permitted within the festival site. No exceptions.
Empty water bottles and personal seating (i.e. lawn chairs) are permitted, but subject to search.
Did you know? OutFront Kalamazoo contracts a private security detail to ensure that Kalamazoo Pride remains a safe environment for all who attend.
Parking & Entrance
With more than 400 free 90-minute on-street parking spaces, paid parking garages and lots, Downtown Kalamazoo has a space for you. You’ll also find on-street metered spots throughout the downtown, which range from $1.75/hour to $3/day, and are free on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. (Note: Pay machines on the Kalamazoo Mall are in effect until 8 p.m., including Saturdays.)
