We are pleased to welcome the League of Women Voters to our next First Thursday! On October 2nd from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., join us at Shakespeare's Pub for our usual appetizers and socializing as well as an opportunity to ask the League of Women Voters all your questions about voting, voter suppression, and more. Additionally, we'll have materials available for you to get your voter registration up-to-date in time for November's General Election!

FIRST THURSDAY is a monthly social program working to connect LGBTQIA+ folks ages 18 and up and support local LGBTQIA+-owned and affirming businesses. Join us from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. Locations vary and will be posted in advance.

Pride Recovery
PRIDE RECOVERY is open to all LGBTQIA+ individuals ages 18 and up affected by substance abuse in this weekly twelve-step recovery program.
Meetings take place every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to noon at OutFront Kalamazoo.

Queer Yoga
Join us for QUEER YOGA every first and third Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at OutFront Kalamazoo! Immerse yourself in a space that is by Queer folks, for Queer folks. Your instructor will guide you through beginner-friendly yoga postures, breath work, and active rest. All skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own mat.
This service is offered in partnership with Kalamazoo Backyard Yogis and is for ages 18 and up. This is a donation-based class, with all proceeds benefitting OutFront Kalamazoo. Registration is required.

AROACE SPECTRUM COMMUNITY (AASC) is a group for individuals ages 18 and up who fall within the asexual and aromantic spectrum, along with those who are questioning.
Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at OutFront Kalamazoo.

LGBTQIA+ Grief Circle
Offered in partnership with Centrica Grief Support, our LGBTQIA+ GRIEF CIRCLE is a grief group for members of the LGBTQIA+ community ages 18 and up impacted by all forms of loss including estrangement, ended relationships, and death. This group meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at OutFront Kalamazoo.

Youth TTRPG (In-Person)
YOUTH TTRPG is a tabletop role-playing game group for ages 12 through 18. They play a variety of TTRPGs (tabletop role-playing games) in one to two session games. Dice and any other tools are provided, though you are welcome to bring your own!
This group meets in-person at the OutFront Kalamazoo office from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month, and virtually via Discord from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Seasons Dance (50+)
Grab a friend, put on your dancing shoes, and join us for a FREE dance for LGBTQIA+ people ages 50 and up! This event will take place on October 11th at the Arcus Center (205 Monroe St), with DJ Lumani kicking off the night at 7:00 p.m. Don’t miss your raffle ticket at the door for FREE door prizes, and be sure to visit with representatives from Milestone Senior Services, the Area Agency on Aging, and more community partners who can help you navigate the joys and challenges of aging.

In partnership with Cares Sexual Wellness Services, OutFront Kalamazoo hosts FREE HIV/STI TESTING on the third Monday of each month from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. No insurance or appointment is necessary.

Monthly Euchre Tournament
Our MONTHLY EUCHRE TOURNAMENT is held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Crafted Copper. This is an opportunity for anyone within the LGBTQIA+ community ages 18 and up to socialize, connect, and have fun while sharing in a few rounds of this popular Midwestern card game.

GLOW FLOW for OutFront w/ Kalamazoo Backyard Yogis
Step into a night of neon and movement under black lights while benefitting OutFront’s Gender Affirming Care Fund!
Come dressed in bright or UV-reactive colors with provided glow sticks and body paint during this upbeat guided yoga class with non-flashing neon lights. Halloween costumes welcome.
Music will be louder than usual and full of upbeat lyrics, with plenty of space to dance, laugh, and move in community in this large class capped at 25 people.

LiFT: Linking Families & Teens
LiFT is a 6-hour community retreat designed to connect young people (ages 13-24) and the supportive adults in their lives by initiating meaningful discussion. The program encourages open dialogue on topics that are central to young people's lives by creating an opportunity for effective communication and navigating shared values. This program is not here to teach you values, but rather ensure you have the tools to be clear on what your values are and how you can maintain them in your home while fostering open and honest dialogue!
LiFT aims to establish and sustain healthy relationships through ongoing conversations between youth and their support adults. Attendees receive a gift card at end of session!

Queer Black & Brown Kickback (*UPDATED*)
Join the Institute of Public Scholarship, Collect & Recover Wellness, and OutFront Kalamazoo for this year's Queer Black & Brown Kickback! Bring your lawn chair and blankets to the Essential Space at Pretty Lake Camp from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27th for an evening of story telling and good food, conversation, and vibes!
Our Black Queer & Trans Alliance will be attending this event in lieu of their usual September meeting. We'll see you there!

Youth TTRPG (Virtual)
YOUTH TTRPG is a tabletop role-playing game group for ages 12 through 18. They play a variety of TTRPGs (tabletop role-playing games) in one to two session games. Dice and any other tools are provided, though you are welcome to bring your own!
This group meets in-person at the OutFront Kalamazoo office from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month, and virtually via Discord from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Trans Hiking Club
September’s Trans Hiking Club will take place at Gourdneck State Game Area in Portage. Meet at the parking lot on Vanderbilt Avenue.
Note: This month’s event will include off-trail hiking, so please take extra care in selecting your clothing, footwear, hydration, and snacks!
TRANS HIKING CLUB is a social hiking group for transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals ages 18 and up to experience nature, connect with others, and support their physical health one step at a time. This group meets on the fourth Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as weather permits. Locations vary.

QWC Women's Music Night
Join us at The Dormouse Theatre on September 26th for our annual Women's Music Night hosted by OutFront's Queer Women's Community! This is a night filled with music by local queer women and woman-aligned performers. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 7:00 p.m.

CONNECTIONS offers an opportunity for youth ages 12 through 18 to meet and share with other gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, pansexual, or allied youth. This is a safe environment where your individuality and suggestions are respected and you can discuss anything in confidence; a place for friendship, support, acceptance, education, and access to accurate information and potential resources.

Queer Yoga
Join us for Queer Yoga every first and third Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at OutFront Kalamazoo! Immerse yourself in a space that is by Queer folks, for Queer folks. Your instructor will guide you through beginner-friendly yoga postures, breath work, and active rest. All skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own mat.
This service is offered in partnership with Kalamazoo Backyard Yogis and is for ages 18 and up. This is a donation-based class, with all proceeds benefitting OutFront Kalamazoo. Registration is required.

Pride Recovery
PRIDE RECOVERY is open all LGBTQIA+ individuals ages 18 and up affected by substance abuse in this weekly twelve-step recovery program.
Meetings take place every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to noon at OutFront Kalamazoo.

OUTFRONT MEN’S COMMUNITY is a peer-directed group for LGBTQIA+ men ages 18 and up to explore and discuss the topics that matter most to us. The OutFront Men’s Community aims to build authentic and lasting bonds throughout this shared experience.
Some topics of discussion may include community belongingness, sex and dating, relationships and intimacy, health, gay history, current events and pop culture, identity in the workplace, religion and spirituality, homophobia, oppression, and body image.

Join Proud Families on September 20th for a playdate at the Children’s Nature Playscape! Located across from Bronson Park in Downtown Kalamazoo, this is a gated and volunteer-run space for children and families to play and connect with nature. In partnership with Cares Sexual Wellness Services, OutFront Kalamazoo hosts free HIV/STI testing on the third Monday of each month from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. No insurance or appointment is necessary.
DISCLAIMER: In compliance with state and federal regulations, HIV testing is available to those ages 13 and up; all other STI testing available to those ages 14 and up. Those who do not meet these age requirements may still receive testing with parent/guardian permission.
