Call for Artists
Calling all LGBTQIA+ artists!
OutFront Kalamazoo is seeking up to three Kalamazoo-based LGBTQIA+ artists to be featured on merchandise (t-shirts and tote bags) at Kalamazoo Pride 2026!
This year’s Pride theme is “Stronger Together.” Toward that theme, we are looking for images that speak to LGBTQIA+ joy, community, and resilience.
Some important rules:
No color limits! But please tell us what color fabric your design should be printed on if it is selected.
Keep it family-friendly. No profanity, nudity, etc.
Speak your truth. Joy, community, and resilience mean something different to each of us - want to know what these themes meant to YOU!
Please send your design (with background color info) to drue@outfrontkzoo.org by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24.
Voting & Selection
In the spirit of community, all of the design submissions that meet the basic criteria described above will be shared on Facebook and Instagram on April 25 - 27. The three designs with the most “likes” by noon on April 27 will be selected as our 2026 Kalamazoo Pride artists!
In addition to the publicity that comes with being a featured Pride artist, winners will also receive a small honorarium.
Youth Artists
Artists of all ages are encouraged to participate! If a winner is selected who is age 17 or under, parent/guardian permission will be required before their design can be used.
