Please, #CountMeIn

When summer began, OutFront Kalamazoo took an important step toward improving our ability to understand and serve the needs of the LGBTQ+ community. In the same way that Census data helps decision making and program planning; OutFront’s ability to know who you are, what you value and how you prefer to receive communication is key to our ability to stand together as a community in confronting injustice and inequality.

In other words, we’d like to know you better.

So, we’re launching an effort between now and October 11, 2020 (National Coming Out Day) to give you an opportunity to voluntarily provide basic contact information that will help us improve our service and personalize your interaction with us. May we Count You In?

In July, we moved our database to a safe, secure cloud-based platform called EveryAction. We know that data privacy* has always been of special concern for the LGBTQ+ community; and we wanted you to have more control over the information you choose to share. Their FastAction system provides an online self-service portal that gives YOU the ability to keep your information up to date. The entrance to OutFront’s secure portal is here.

If we already have your preferred email address on file, you can easily access your contact information and email preferences. If we don’t have your email address, you can share it with us on this page. Please take a moment to update your record and make sure to indicate which of the following emails you wish to receive:

OutFront eNews – The eNews multi-topic digest that is issued once every other week to keep you informed about local, state, regional and national issues.

Living OutFront – A periodic email that shares personal insights from LGBTQ+ individuals and allies on important topics such as racism, violence, employment discrimination, housing, parenting and more.

OutFront Action – The action alert that is issued when we learn about threats to our community or learn of new opportunities to advance LGBTQ+ equity.

OutFront Proud – This email will be sent once a month to provide information about upcoming events (like Kalamazoo Pride) and detail about trainings and program activities.

Of course, you may choose all four and we will keep your information confidential.

Collecting and updating your data is the first part of our effort to know you better. Later this year, we will post a series of short surveys to help us gauge your interest in a variety of issues that impact our community. We hope you will say #CountMeIn. There is a lot we can do together!

Thank you for taking part in this vital effort.

*OutFront Kalamazoo will never sell personally identifiable information to any third party.
