OutFront Kalamazoo Announces Move to New Location

KALAMAZOO, MI –  OutFront Kalamazoo is pleased to announce that the organization will be relocating to 1020 South Westnedge Avenue as of April 2025.

OutFront Kalamazoo’s current location at 340 South Rose Street, which has housed the organization since 2017, will remain open through regular business hours on March 27. All programs and services will either be paused or held at alternate locations until 1020 South Westnedge Avenue is ready to open for public access on April 14. “We are sad to be leaving our Rose Street office” said Christopher Terkos (he/him), Executive Director. “But we have grown so much in the last few years, and the reality is that we need a bigger space. This new location is much better suited for our community needs.”

When OutFront Kalamazoo originally leased the Rose Street location in 2017, they had four paid staff and offered four programs. At this time, the organization has seventeen paid staff and offers 25 regularly occurring affinity groups, social groups, and direct care services; this is in addition to drop-in and ongoing services such as their Gender Affirming Products program, Housing Navigation, and a transitional housing program for LGBTQIA+ youth ages 18-24. 

“We are struggling to keep up with our current goals in such a small space,” said Terkos. “The new location will meet those needs and will also provide us the opportunity to continue growing in ways that we haven’t yet imagined. We are excited to see what this new space allows us to offer to the community of Kalamazoo and Southwest Michigan.”
