OutFront Kalamazoo Announces AlwaysOutFront Award Nominations Being Accepted

KALAMAZOO, MI February 1, 2022 – OutFront Kalamazoo, one of Michigan’s largest LGBTQ+ community centers, is currently accepting nominations of individuals who have made significant contributions to the work of LGBTQ+ equality and the advancement of OutFront’s mission. Nominations will be accepted up until 6:00 pm on Friday, February 18th, 2022.

Annually, the community and our allies come together to celebrate our progress and recognize the accomplishments of those who advance the movement for justice and equality. The 2022 #AlwaysOutFront Awards will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Radisson Hotel from 5:30-7:00 pm. Tickets will be available on our website.

“We are excited to have our AlwaysOutFront Awards ceremony in person this year with Covid precautions in place,” said Amy Hunter, Executive Director of OutFront Kalamazoo.

The way that we honor those who have made significant contributions to the work of LGBTQ+ equality has evolved over the years. As our outreach in the community expanded and our work with allies grew, it became increasingly important to find meaningful ways to recognize and celebrate those who advanced OutFront’s mission.

“We encourage the community to nominate those individuals who have helped LGBTQ+ individuals so that we may acknowledge and honor them,” continued Hunter.
