Beats on Bates and OutFront Kalamazoo present Kandace DC Lavender w/ DJ Boogie! Kandace is an internationally known poet, vocalist, hip-hop lyricist, and special education educator whose material speaks to her activist roots.

Beats on Bates brings free outdoor entertainment to Downtown Kalamazoo every Wednesday evening from June through September on Bates Alley, running from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. With a diverse lineup of performers, it’s the perfect opportunity to soak up some sunshine, enjoy live music, dance, and connect with friends in the heart of the city. Don’t forget to grab a to-go cup and enjoy the Central Commons area!
