KALAMAZOO, MI – Following the tremendous success of Kalamazoo PRIDE 2023, which brought the highest foot traffic ever recorded at Arcadia Creek Festival Site, OutFront Kalamazoo has made the difficult decision to implement two new policies for Kalamazoo PRIDE 2024 in the interest of public safety and wellness.
The first of these policies bans all smoking and vaping within the festival site for the duration of Kalamazoo PRIDE. This policy supports the health and well-being of festival visitors of all ages and health statuses. Smoking and vaping may take place outside of the festival perimeter; simply show your wristband to the volunteers stationed at the festival site’s entry points to gain re-entry.
A new “No Pets Allowed” policy will also be implemented, which prohibits dogs, cats, and all other non-service animals from gaining entry to the festival site. Service animals remain welcome. While OutFront Kalamazoo shares a deep love and appreciation for all furry companions, this decision was made in the interest of prioritizing space within the festival site for human attendees.
OutFront Kalamazoo thanks you for your understanding and cooperation in these efforts to ensure that everyone in our community is able to enjoy Kalamazoo PRIDE safely and comfortably.
OutFront Kalamazoo is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to create a just, inclusive, equitable, and supportive environment in Southwest Michigan for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities and expressions.
