The Birth Bruja: Reclaiming Sex & Intimacy After Trauma Online Workshop

Moving from surviving to thriving is not easy. For some, this means a reclamation of their sensual & sexual relationships with self and others. Guilt. Shame. Anger. Numbness. Overwhelm. Despair. For many, these are huge obstacles getting in the way of us connecting to our body-based pleasure as well as to connecting with others. If you are ready to do this reclamation work- this gathering is for you! This workshop will be speaking to and centering survivors and consists of a slideshow presentation, group discussion, and participants will receive a detailed handout outlining the steps discussed in the presentation.

*Survivors will be invited to participate in the group discussion (optional!) and folks will NOT be asked to disclose their experiences of trauma.

About the Facilitator: Eri Guajardo Johnson is a queer, bi-racial birthworker, rape crisis peer counselor, birth consultant for trauma survivors, community educator, and host of Birth Bruja. Drawing upon her 10+ years of experience supporting survivors of sexual assault, studying indigenous Mexican and Indian healing modalities, and obtaining her masters in Women, Gender, Spirituality & Social Justice from the California Institute of Integral Studies- she approaches healing & justice work as a mechanism for individual and collective liberation.

The Birth Bruja platform is a manifestation of Eri’s passion for birth work as a spiritual, liberational & decolonial practice. Join us for monthly Mentorship Circles, live & recorded workshops, gathering & more that span the full range of this transformative work. Visit www.BirthBruja.com to learn more.

This workshop is open to survivors of sexual & domestic violence and their loved ones.
