As part of the From This Place program and in partnership with Art of Fact, the Institute of Public Scholarship proudly presents the fourth installment of its acclaimed storytelling series, Remembering The Block.
In honor of the nationwide recognition of the out-loud presence of LGBTQIA+ people in our lives, Pride on the Block shines a spotlight on the 16-year history of Kalamazoo Pride in our North Burdick neighborhood. This special evening, presented in partnership with OutFront Kalamazoo, invites the community to gather and reflect on the impact, evolution, and meaning of Pride in shaping our shared legacy.
Hear directly from the organizers behind this vibrant and growing celebration, and take part in honoring the voices and visions that have made Pride a vital part of Kalamazoo’s cultural landscape.
This event will take place on Friday, June 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Legacy (313 N. Burdick St.). We'll see you there!
