OutFront Kalamazoo provides in-office trauma-informed support services. Our clinicians are available on a walk-in basis on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m.. They are available to individuals experiencing a variety of needs such as substance dependency, housing instability, familial conflict, depression, anxiety, and PTSD, as well as providing support for issues related to sexual orientation, gender identity, self-acceptance, and relationships.
Clinicians can refer clients for additional services as needed, such as student or employee assistance programs (EAP). Client confidentiality and privacy will be prominent aspects of the service, to allow clients to experience an increased sense of safety and trust in the clinicians. Clinicians will approach their work with a deep understanding of the impact of trauma on individuals' lives. They will cultivate empathy and create a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals who may have experienced various forms of trauma, discrimination, or marginalization.
