Health and Wellness Groups

CARES Support Group
Community AIDS Resource and Education Services. Almost every week a group of men and women with HIV meet in secure and confidential settings. Participants determine the focus of the group, which sometimes includes guest speakers, art therapy and social outings. Support Groups require that you verify your HIV status. Contact CARES before attending this group at 269.381.2437 to confirm status and meeting dates.

Gay/Bi/Trans Men’s Yoga
Every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at Sunrise Yoga, located at 1218 South Park St. Space is limited to 5-6 people at a time, so get there early to get a spot. Get in shape mentally and physically in a safe space with great people. For more information, please contact Steph.

Health and Wellness Committee
The Health and Wellness committee was established to provide the LGBT community and its allies with the knowledge, programming and resources necessary to live healthier, happier lives. Each week in our Health and Wellness blog we will feature a new recipe that’s easy to make and focused on healthy, fresh, and seasonal foods. We’ll also clue you in on healthy tips that are easy to follow and could improve your life! If interested in joining this committee or if you have any health-driven activities you’d like to see the community get involved in, please contact Steph.

KGLRC’s Walk/Jog/Run Group
The Resource Center’s Health and Wellness Committee is proud to offer our very own group devoted to walking, jogging, and/or running. Everyone is welcome, regardless of physical ability and/or sexual orientation. Meet at the Kal-Haven Trail parking lot on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. We’ll have tips on proper running, stretching, breathing, etc. For more information, please contact Steph or Robert.

LBTA Ladies Yoga
